  • ¨Guide Your Research" interviews in class today; complete at least 1 interview in class. You must have 2 students and 2 adults interviewed. After that, you may interview one more student and one more adult. Those extra complete interviews are worth 5 extra credit points each. This assignment is due at the beginning of class FRIDAY.

  • If you finish your other work, start doing some early research on your number one topic choice. Answer the following questions in complete sentences in your writing journal:
  • Why is this topic controversial?
  • Explain the major sides of the argument. (At least two)
  • How long has this been an issue? (Give some historical perspective).
  • What are the latest developments over the past year around this topic?
  • Find one news story published online in the last month about this topic, and summarize the story in your writing journal (at least 3 sentences).
