The Papermaker Ladies are going back to State with a full team. Hailey Oster, GSHL Player of the Year will lead a young but experienced group next week in Spokane Washington. All-League 1st team members Emma Cox, Lauryn Tsukimura and Wenny Cai hope to improve on great performances at District and Bi-district. Avery Salvato 2nd team All-League is the teams most improved and hopes to make the most of her 1st trip to state. Ashley Clark had her best performance of the year at Bi-District in Bremerton shooting 82 for a 2nd place finish.
The Lady Papermakers upended Union last March setting a school record of 148 beating them by 22 shots. This victory set the tone for the season ending in an undefeated league championship. A huge showing at state gave them a school record 2nd place.
We are checking out gear on Wednesday Feb. 22 righ after school. Meet in the Commons by the athletic office. You will be issued a bag, rain cover, cold weather gloves, your shirts and pullovers and a hat.
Practice starts at 3pm on Monday Feb. 27 at Camas Meadows.
Behind strong performances from seniors Connie Wang and Elise Filuk and sophomore Hailey Oster the Papermakers finished the highest in school history with a 2nd at the 4A state tournament. Freshmen Abby Jiang and Emma Cox also had a strong tournament along with sophomore Lauryn Tsukimura. 2017 should be another great season.
The season culminated with an 8th place finish at State. Connie Wang, Hailey Oster, Elise Filuk and Rio Smith finished 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th at Districts to earn a state spot.

All-League for Oster, Wang, Filuk and Smith
8th at State as a team
Hailey Oster named to the All-Region team
Looking forward to a great 2016!!! Look for opportunities to play this summer, competition will be fierce for the top 6.

On Wednesday April 29, the Lady Papermakers will travel to Corvallis and tee it up with the best teams in Oregon. This tournament is a preview to their state championships which will be played at Trysting Tree Golf Club.

The Lady Paprmakers played well against Battleground last Tuesday to stay in a tie with Union for the GSH league championship. Camas was let by Rio Smith with a 39 which included a double bogey. Rio has played well the last two matches and will be a real force the rest of the seasn.
Camas rallied and battled Hockinson in the morning round to advance to the finals of the Titan Cup. After regulation Camas and Union were tied at 3 pts. each. In sudden death Union made a lengthy par putt to retain the cup. The Lady Papermakers battled all day but come up a little short.
