1st: Today we talked about a triangle related to Mt. Bachelor Oregon. The summit of the mountain is 9,065. The parking lot is at 6,200 feet. If I skied 11,380 feet along a hypotenuse, then what was the distance of the base of the triangle formed by the summit, the parking lot, and the center point of the mountain parallel to the parking lot? What was the average slope of the hypotenuse?
