Preseason Information for the 2017 CHS Girls Season

Girls' tennis practice begins February 27, at 3:05 p.m., for players who are returning varsity and junior varsity. Players who have played C team or those who are new to the team will meet at 4:29 at the courts. If it rains practice will take place in the lower gym. All necessary paperwork must be completed before a player may take the court. Students must have 10 practices to become eligible to play and must attend practice every day beyond that to maintain eligibility. Necessary paperwork is online at the CHS web page or can be picked up in person at the CHS athletic office.
The fee this season is $50 and the annual ASB fee is $35.
You must have a concussion form, medical emergency form, and current physical on file before you can participate.  Physicals are good for two years.
Below you will find additional information and links to the necessary forms:
An Athletic and Medical Emergency form, Current Physical and Concussion Release Form, and an ASB Card are required in order to be eligible for the first practice. A physical is good for two years from the date of the exam. In order for your son/daughter to self-carry and self-administer medication for asthma or severe allergies the Authorization for Administration of Medication form must be completed by the licensed health care provider and the parent/legal guardian.
Please return these completed forms to the Athletic office.

Awards Event Thursday, November 3, 6-8 p.m. North Commons

An awards event will be held to celebrate the 2016 boys' tennis season on Thursday, November 3, from 6-8 p.m. in the North Commons at CHS. An entre will be provided. Please bring a drink, side dish or salad or a dessert. All players, parents and family are welcome.

Boys’ Fall Tennis Information and Forms

After tryouts students will be assigned to either first practice (3:05 to 4:30) or second practice (4:30 to 5:30). All necessary paperwork must be completed before a player may take the court. Students must have 10 practices to become eligible to play and must attend practice every day beyond that to maintain eligibility. Important Post Season Dates

Here are some important dates I wanted you to have.

 

  •          Sub-Regional Entries Due Friday May 6th by 7:00pm
  •          Sub-Regional meet scheduled for Tuesday May 10th 2:00pm at Camas High School. (weather permitting)
  •          District Meet seeding meeting is Monday May 16th 6:00pm at Camas High School Library.
  •          District Meet is Thursday and Friday May 19th and 20th at Green Meadows 8:00am start. (Top 2 Move on)
  •          Bi-District matches are Saturday May 21st at Green Meadows Noon start. Crossover matches are against KingCo league finishers. GSHL #1 vs. KingCo #3 and GSHL #2 vs. King Co #2.

Parent Meeting Scheduled

A meeting for parents will be held at 6:00 p.m., March 10, in the CHS Career Center. The meeting will empower parents to stay involved with our dynamic schedule, cover expectations of athletes, and act as a venue to answer questions. Parents will be introduced to the web site and other communication avenues that are vital for following the team's ever changing schedule due to weather.
